NBA 2K26 Finishing Guide: Score Through Contact
Finishing in NBA 2K26 is where attributes, badge tiers, and animation packages meet. Slashers live on driving layup and dunk ratings; bigs need standing dunk and post control — but everyone needs a small menu of finishes they can repeat in traffic.
Attributes and animations for reliable finishes
Driving Layup and Driving Dunk unlock the gathers and contact packages your height can use. Standing Dunk and Post Control matter for bigs who live in the paint. Pick two or three finishers you can trigger under pressure — not ten signatures you only hit in open gym.
Strength and Vertical still decide whether contact attempts bounce off the rim. See finishing priorities in best attributes.
Badge and takeover habits
Finishing badges reward the attempts you actually take — posters off a clear lane, contact layups after a hard hedge, putbacks after offensive boards. If you never post up, post badges are wasted slots.
Use takeover windows on the looks you designed the build for, not random isolation hero ball. More build planning: builds and attributes.
Practice loop before Park iso spam
Ten minutes in the facility: left/right gather layups, one contact dunk path, one euro step. Log misses as timing, angle, or traffic — not “2K rigged.”
Balance patches on NBA 2K can shift finish windows. Check Updates after major notes. Compare helpers on Pricing.
